Suicide&Co is a national charity with the core purpose of supporting those bereaved by suicide and open up the conversation around suicide-related grief. The main support that Suicide&Co provides is one-to-one bereavement counselling. They also run the first national suicide bereavement helpline run by bereavement counsellors open Monday – Friday 9am-9pm. Their website includes a Help Hub to support those bereaved by suicide from day one. Both their social media and website are sources of information; curating existing content, signposting to useful resources and highlighting lived experience. By offering consolidated and specific information in a user-friendly hub, they provide access to the right information as quickly as possible and welcome them into a non-judgemental community.

Their Founding Story
Bereavement in all forms can be traumatic, however, suicide often brings a range of added emotions to navigate. The team’s passion for helping others deal with this specific type of grief comes from a variety of personal experiences of losing a loved one to suicide. It all started with our co-founders, Amelia and Emma, who both lost a parent to suicide. With their entrepreneurial spirit and empathetic nature, this double act is determined to do things differently; providing the support needed whilst also opening up the conversation and addressing the stigma.
Suicide&Co strongly believe in the power of conversation and use a variety of initiatives to spark conversations and encourage open dialogues around suicide-related grief and mental health more generally
Their Impact to Date
Since its inception in July 2020, Suicide&Co has been on a huge growth trajectory. Some of their key highlights over the last 3 years are below:
● Over 3,500 counselling sessions delivered to individuals bereaved by suicide!
● 70,000 unique website visitors
● Over £700,000 raised!
Their fundraising efforts are focused on providing bereaved individuals with counselling programmes. All of their support services have always been and will continue to be free to access, however Suicide&Co is completely reliant on the generosity of donations to be able to fund their services. They would be very grateful for any contribution you can make towards their mission to support those bereaved by suicide.
