Its inspiration is from Japanese paintings, traditional Chinese porcelain and the beautiful hand painted wallpapers of the18th century.  The exotic designs are appliquéd and hand-embroidered in Jan's unique style, including flowers, birds and patterns alongside a bold stripe to add a contemporary touch.
