Over the years Air France produced many excellent posters yet this design by Jacques Dubois has to be one of the very best, easily comparable to the masterpieces by Gruau and Savignac. It is rare and justifiably expensive.

Unbacked, the poster is in good condition. It has previously been rolled and has some catalogue information in pencil on the reverse. It is complete and almost entirely free from edge nicks and tears. One very small area (less than 1cm) has a some tape on the reverse side put in place prior to our acquisition. The colours are deep, crisp and bright.

This is a really excellent example of mid-century design and lithographic printing – sublime.
